ARTIST BIO

Art has been an essential part of the life of Mihaela Georgieva (b. 1989) since she was five years old. It is a vital necessity— like breathing, or, as she herself puts it, the fuel for her mind and soul. Her desire to study art and develop as an artist led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education at Veliko Tarnovo University in Bulgaria. Since then, she has participated in art competitions and group exhibitions across Europe.

Mihaela Georgieva is an artist driven by immense creative energy. Her background reflects a

wealth of creative experience gained both at home and abroad. She focuses on a highly

specialized range of themes—a characteristic that sets her apart while making her work

instantly recognizable.

She developed an interest in drawing at an early age. Her passion for art began around the age of five, and by the first grade, one of her drawings had already been published in the local newspaper. Later, she began participating in group exhibitions and competitions, including international ones. She held her first solo exhibition at the age of 13.

Thus, art becomes a driving force for progress in life. Mihaela graduated from a specialized high school with a focus on fine arts. She went on to study at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts Education, specializing in mural painting. She also participated in the Erasmus program in Lithuania.

She later pursued her career abroad, visiting countries such as France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Belgium, where she became a member of the De Loods Arts Organization. She participated in group exhibitions and workshops. Driven by her passion for horses—which she frequently depicted in her work—and focusing on equine art, she became a member of the PV art organization and gallery in the Netherlands. There, she attended workshops and took lessons with Associate Professor Tineke van der Velde. Gallery PV presents Mihaela’s work in the Netherlands, featuring ten of her pieces. She also participates in monthly events and art challenges organized by PV.

Afterward, Mihaela continued her life and creative development in Bulgaria. She works daily at her own studio-gallery in Veliko Tarnovo (MG ARTS GALLERY). She actively participates in group exhibitions both at home and abroad. She also showcases her work through solo exhibitions, and her paintings can be found in galleries in Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Varna, Sofia, and Plovdiv, as well as in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Her works are already held by collectors and art enthusiasts from Austria, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, Hong Kong, Romania, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Luxembourg, and the USA.
